January over & out....

You left me cold, sick and broke- but we also had some fun moments.....

1) I bought me a teak wood crane at a good price, I love a good find. I got pretty flowers from my ex colleagues.... 2) She was a smart girl that Marilyn.... 3) I love my bedroom and especially the wallpaper with pinups and old cars.... 4) 20 Year Anniversary at Inside, burnout and beer....5) Freddies of Pinewood favorite jeans brand.... 6) January selfie.... 7) Monday snowstorm, a trip that normally takes 20 minutes took 1 hour and 30 minutes, yes I was late for work....
                                                                                                                           

1) Mojo is a snow bulldozer but he also likes to sleep late.... 2) I found my first bakelite bracelet with carvings.... 3) My New Years outfit and a little more Marilyn..... 4) Evo dragster with a burned out tire from the 20 Year Anniversary at Inside(there's nothing like the smell of burnt rubber).... 6)I need vitamins and happy colors in my kitchen....


Tomorrow is Saturday Febuar 1th and we are of to a good start,I have a tattoo appointment....













                         

Project kitchen remake ....

Inspiration board ....
In March we will start renovating the old kitchen
There are many thoughts and ideas to keep track of
I have attempted to make an inspiration board....
 
It's really gone very well but I will probably find more inspiration along the way ....
 
But here's the first draft .....

Only two days after having made my inspiration board I found three retro lamps that I just had to own ....
I think they are gonna be a key elements in the renovation ....

I finally found a company who make old linoleum floors but unfortunately there is not one in sea green or turquoise so I have to settle for the gray and white shades maybe something red or black .....
                                                                
Only time can tell where this project will lead. I can not wait to start ....

Better late than even later....

The last nine days of our trip were spent in and around Ann Arbor Michigan

As previously described, was the trip to Ann Arbor for the purpose of being tattooed at Spiral Tattoo

but We got so much more home with us than just a tattoo

We met the most warm-hearted people who invited us to visit their home and thank You for that....

It is not the last time I visit Michigan hopefully again in 2015 if all goes well
I am sure I have left a piece of my heart there....

I am a “foodie” so farmers market was a must but next time I need a kitchen....

Hunting and outdoor life is a big industry here Cabelas is huge
We spent no less than three and a half hours there
There was plenty to look at live fish and wall to wall dead animals do I have to say that it is the husband's favorite store..... 

We also visited Detroit
You can talk about the rise and fall it is both exciting and scary
Always rooting for the underdog go Detroit We believe in you....

Next trip to the States is being planned and will start probably in Chicago then to the big swapmeet in Davenport and last but not least road trip to Michigan......

Happy Holidays....

Christmas Card.....

Even though the Christmas spirit has not quite hit me yet,
it may still happen.....

I did do some Christmas stuff though.....

I did a little baking and some fudge.... 
Christmas came early I got some beautiful old liqueur glass they are an heirloom from my husband's grandmother  ......

 Themed gift wrapping as always....

And I did the whole Christmas Card thing and alot of Christmas coffee shopping..... (it´s not gonna be my fault if Starbucks dos not make it here in Vejle)

My Christmas tree is all most the only decoration I have this year......

Old-fashioned ice scooper why not bring it on....

I had my first of two tattoo appointments ten days ago, We were surpose finish the background on my full sleve.
But We just did´t feel inspired to do so....

So we just did this insted and I´m so happy about that, love my new Tattoo.....

On Thursday we give the background another go.....

I been super busy at work but did managed to take a few pictures,

And next Friday we are gonna Rock`n Roll this Swedish band never lets you down.....

And last but not least I got two tattoo appointments in December to finish my full sleeve.....

I had my long desired armpit tattoo done, the day before we had to go home .....

I`m alive.....

Calm after the storm ....

It has been quiet on the blog, I know.
Not because I dont want to blog but because I`v lost the thread .....

The last time I was on the blog was just before I went on vacation to The States and there's just been so many things going on since then.

amazing experiences
new dreams
new job title

and so much disorder i my head

I have fallen in love with Michigan and especially Ann Arbor and the Detroit area but New York was also a blast....

So I`m trying to do this in English(learning by doing/practice makes perfect) let`s see how long that lasts.

And now picture spam, more thoughts later....

 I have nothing bad to say about the architecture.....

I ate my way through New York but this place was by far my favorit.....

One of the best things to do in New York walk over the Brooklyn Bridge....

Take a Break go to Coney Island and have the best Taco in Town....

upside down blommer i massevis....

Upside down plum cake....

Hvis du som jeg har blommer i overflod så faldt jeg lige over denne opskrift den anden dag og den kan anbefales.....

Blommekage:

8-10 pers

Bund:

200 g sukker

25 g smør

1 kg blommer

Dej:

150 g smør

100 g farin

75 g sukker

3 æg

1 tsk vaniljesukker

1 tsk stødt kanel

1 økologisk citron (fint revet skal)

200 g hvedemel

2 tsk bagepulver

1 knsp salt

1. Tænd ovnen på 180 grader.
2. Smelt sukkeret til gylden karamel i en gryde. Tilsæt smør og hæld det ud over bunden af en smurt form (24-26 cm).
3. Vask blommerne, halver dem (eller skær dem i kvarter) og fjern stenene. Læg blommerne i karamellen med skærefladen nedad – gerne i to lag.
4. Pisk smør, farin og sukker cremet og pisk æggene i ét ad gangen. Tilsæt vanilje, kanel og fintrevet citronskal.
5. Sigt mel og bagepulver sammen, tilsæt salt og vend det i dejen.
6. Hæld dejen over blommerne og sæt kagen i ovnen 50-60 min.
7. Løsn kagen hele kanten rundt med en kniv og lad den stå i formen et par min., før den vendes ud på et fad.
8. Nyd blommekagen lun eller afkølet med cremefraiche eller flødeskum til.

ja jeg ved det godt det er lang tid siden jeg har været aktiv her inde på bloggen. Det er ikke fordi jeg ikke har lyst eller ikke er blevet inspireret men fordi mit batteri er total fladt, ferien startet fra på fredag og vare tre uger og jeg glæder mig.....

Det er første gang i 14 år at jeg skal holde tre ugers sammenhængende ferie og første gang i syv år min mand og jeg skal ud at rejse sammen, det bliver så godt New York here we come......

Jeg forventer at vende tilbage for fuld skrue igen efter ferien forhåbentlig med en masse billeder fra USA og med lidt plus på batteriet....

Indtil da må i nøjes med lidt billede spam fra den sidste månedes tid.....

 De halv døde sommer blomster er skiftet ud med lavendler....

De smukkeste Peoner en gave fra min mand, han ved jeg elsker blomster og kommer tit med en buket, tak skat.....

Jeg fik mig lige lidt mere teak træ en fin knagerække m hylde....

flere vaser til samlingen.....

det har næsten taget overhånd....

det er ingen hemmelighed at jeg elsker alt fra 50érne og først 60érne og specielt pynt til hjemmet og jeg skal da lige love for at jeg har fundet en del den sidste tid specielt så vaser....

senest har en tur til Brørup marked og en tur på Kolding ny kræmmermarked givet pote....

jeg er specielt glad for for den sorte vase m den gule og turkise stribe og det fine bast håndtag, Søholm vasen der passer til mit fad var også lidt af et fund og til 40,- var det endnu bedre.
de sorte vaser med de gule prikker forfølger mig lidt lige nu jeg har fundet to på 14 dage. 
det blev også til lidt flere bøjler, blomster og et neger hoved..... 

total ynglings vase er dog denne stribede med bambus håndtaget som jeg fandt på Kolding ny kræmmermarked sammen med den sort til bare 40,- stykket.....

Postkort fra en grusgrav.....

Helt præcis postkort fra en dejlig weekend i en grusgrav lidt uden for Tjæreborg, eller som vi kalder det efter denne weekend Costa del Tjæreborg....

Weekenden blev brugt i en grusgrav fordi vi var til Vestjydsk Grusbaneløb som er et hyggeligt lille træf m grusbane race, druk, musik og dejlige mennesker....

I grusgraven er der en grundvands sø som blev brugt flittigt til at bade i, vejret bød på lidt af det hele men når man er i godt selvskab er det ligegyldigt..... 

Det var første gang vores hund var med til træf og på camping tur og han elskede det.....

Til alle der var med denne weekend tak for et super hyggelig træf nok desværre sæsonens sidste.....

Juli postkort....

Juli du vil blive savnet....

På trods af rigeligt arbejde har Juli været skøn, masser af sommer og sol....

1) med næsten en måneds forsinkelse nåede jeg lige at få lavet hyldeblomst saft. 2) new shoes. 3) jeg har brugt timer i skyggen i min hængekøje. 4) nye notes hæfter fra Søsteren Grene har lovet mig selv at skrive mine ideer ned når de opstår like that´s ever gonna happen.... 5) den lille tykke har virkeligt nydt vejret. 6) min nye ynglings drik hjemmelavet limonade fundet  her . 7) det ser ud til at jeg får masser af figner i år. 8) og mine tomater er også godt på vej. 9) han har det hårdt den lille tykke. 10) date night på Vejles vin og drinks bar No 14.....

Jeg havde lovet mig selv ikke at købe Vans før vi kommer til USA men 199,- og med neon leopard hallo i skal med hjem....
De pink snørebånd blev dog lige lidt for girly nok til mig....
